February 2017 & me - change of luck!
After CNY, I think my "luck" changed entirely. To me, for the better.
Firstly, I'm changing career. Positions ended and I'm looking out for other interesting things I could do and enjoy. At the same time, I decided to send my previous maid back. She was OUTTA HAND! A few months back, I found out she had secretly purchased a new handphone (at the same time that I found my son's wallet missing with cash enough to purchase one). Her work just piled up (literally a mountain fulla clothes unironed, yard area very untidy, house unkept, etc. Attitude to the gramps. And the last straw came when she disappeared while we were out and was spotted with another gender! Immediately, I called the agent to pick her and send her off. I had to control myself for a few more days because the agency was closed for CNY!
And hence, I became "maidless" for about 3 weeks in Feb too. Tiring! Though I enjoyed the peace and privacy, it was getting harder to keep up with work and housework. The hubby suggested continuing the arrangement but IS HE CRAZY? Well, if he gets back to work in SG permanently, I might consider. But hell no for now since he is more frequently overseas than home. I'll go mad I think.
So the new helper arrived. Language barrier is there. But she is fast, reasonably need and clean, and cooks quite well (though I need to adjust her oil and salt additions downwards). Crossing my fingers for a good helper! Especially cos I hope to start a new career, I need good help.
And today, I saw this BOTTLES OF BEER B.O.B. DUCK CONFIT BURGER OMG! I wanted to eat it! So I decided to book a flight out tmr and sink my teeth in. And then, I decided just bring meimei Kaylee along since I owe her a solo trip (the boys did their round with the dad last year and did this crazy treetop adventure thing off Bangkok). I told the boys when they got home from school, and they were a little envious but I said it was to be fair to meimei too. And Ethan kept asking me when it would next be his turn again!
See how crazy their adventure was?
And right now, it's past midnight and I've finished packing the baggage and I'm starting to regret flying out later. I miss the boys already. It's like I'm not able to spend time with them this weekend, and I sure hope Kaylee and I will fly and travel safe. I still have paranoia of travel and not returning to the kids. I think a Mother is very important in any household! Kinda like the pillar and centre of everything. May the Lord bless this and every trip we make!
And yes, I'm super hungry now cos the hubby decided to post this BOTTLES OF BEER B.O.B. CHEESEBURGER at this ungodly hour. Boy am I also looking forward to eat that tmr!
