Sentosa Kidz Flea 2017 (pre-event)

A friend tagged me on a FB post and that's when I learnt about the Sentosa Kidz Flea 2017! Such an awesome opportunity to teach the kids about running a little stall and marketing- from readying the product, to packaging, to promotion, to placement and to people!

The kids are super excited. They had been gathering small change the whole week, and preparing decoration materials, and they thought about ringing handbells for grabbing attention. Thanks to Daiso, I found a lovely handbell, which Kaylee shall be in charge of this Sunday!


We made the gold text and buntings together, guess we can just string it together on Sunday morning at the booth yea? Shouldn't take too long... plus the gramps will all be joining forces to assist in setup, I think we can get it up and ready! 


Yes, it's true ~ handmade ok!

And here's the plan for this weekend, not sure how it's gonna go, but whatever gets my kids excited and take pride and ownership. Kaylee already knows she's in charge of all the hair accessories and stuff.



Boys have to just watch the special ink transfer pens (very expensive! So no pilferage I hope~) and the adults shall handle the ironing.

Roald Dahl - "The Enormous Crocodile" Primary 1 English Week theme at CHS

Yearly, CHS does a huge English week, where a book theme is selected, and we parents gotta start cracking our heads on making costumes out of recycled materials for a presentation or mini-parade. Usually, the P1 and P2 levels are more hands-on about it (as usual yea... still play-years). So for this year 2017, Ethan (P1) was given the theme "The Enormous Crocodile" by Roald Dahl. He had to make a mask! Daddy helped to join carton boxes up for the shape, and then I did the securing, and arranged the kids to do the painting. Ethan decided to add in some blood and gore (the bloodied teeth and arm) since this crocodile likes to eat children.
